A booking is confirmed once you receive a confirmation via SMS, email, or verbal confirmation from our dispatch team. Until confirmation is received, the booking is not guaranteed.
Eastern Cabs reserves the right to decline or cancel a booking at its discretion, particularly where safety concerns or driver availability arise.
Fares are calculated based on metered distance and time in accordance with Victorian taxi fare regulations, or on agreed fixed-price quotes provided at the time of booking.
Accepted payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, EFTPOS, Apple Pay, and Cash. Card payments may attract a small surcharge.
Fares are presented in Australian Dollars (AUD) inclusive of GST.
To cancel a booking, call us on 0420 332 227 or email bookings@easterncabs.com.au. Cancellations via the contact form are not guaranteed to be processed in time — please call for urgent cancellations.
Eastern Cabs reserves the right to cancel a booking due to circumstances beyond our control (extreme weather, road closures, vehicle breakdown). In such cases, no cancellation fee will apply and we will make reasonable efforts to arrange alternative transport or a full refund.
All passengers are expected to behave in a safe, respectful, and lawful manner. Eastern Cabs drivers may refuse to carry or may terminate a trip — without refund — if a passenger:
Animals: Guide dogs and assistance animals are always welcome. Pet travel (cats, dogs, etc.) must be arranged in advance and is subject to driver discretion. Pets must be in an appropriate carrier.
Child seats: Eastern Cabs can provide child seats with advance notice. Alternatively, you may bring your own. Under Victorian law, children under 7 must be in an approved restraint. You are responsible for correctly fitting any seat you provide.
Eastern Cabs strives to be on time for every booking. However, arrival times may be affected by traffic, road works, weather conditions, or other events outside our control.
Eastern Cabs accepts no liability for missed flights, missed connections, or consequential losses arising from delays caused by traffic, road conditions, or other external factors.
If you leave property in one of our vehicles, contact us as soon as possible on 0420 332 227 or bookings@easterncabs.com.au with a description of the item and your booking reference.
We will make reasonable efforts to locate and return lost items. A return delivery fee may apply. Eastern Cabs does not accept liability for items left in vehicles. Unclaimed items will be held for 30 days and then disposed of in accordance with applicable laws.
Eastern Cabs carries public liability insurance and vehicle insurance as required by Victorian law and VicRoads accreditation requirements.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded by contract, including any statutory guarantees relating to the supply of services.
Eastern Cabs provides wheelchair accessible vehicles (WAVs) with ramps and trained drivers. To ensure an accessible vehicle is available, please request one at the time of booking.
We welcome passengers with all mobility needs. Drivers are trained to assist passengers in and out of the vehicle and to secure wheelchairs and mobility aids safely. We do not charge an additional fee for accessibility requirements.
If you have specific medical or care needs, please inform us at the time of booking so we can ensure the appropriate vehicle and driver are arranged.

We will acknowledge your complaint within 2 business days and aim to resolve it within 7 business days. If you are dissatisfied with our response, you may contact the Public Transport Victoria (PTV) or the Consumer Affairs Victoria.
Your privacy matters to us. The collection, use, and storage of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms and Conditions. By booking with Eastern Cabs you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy, including the use of cookies and advertising tracking technologies.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
Eastern Cabs may update these Terms and Conditions at any time by publishing a revised version on this page. The "Last updated" date will be changed accordingly. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
